From Head to Heart

I have discovered through the years that head knowledge is one thing, but personal experience related to what is known is something entirely different. Direct personal experience allows me the chance to apply said knowledge...and practice allows me time to grow in what I know. Head knowledge stays in the head...direct personal experience brings it down to the heart.

Life with all its twists and turns is my classroom. It can feel exhilarating, exciting, and extraordinary. Sometimes it can feel challenging, confusing, and complicated. Most times, life can feel mundane, plain, ordinary or just ho hum. All of that...is part of life. Like the ocean, life has its ebbs and flows. And when I forget who I am in relation to the ocean (Source) feel tossed to and fro by the waves which is quite different than riding the waves.

I find that each day is a chance to lean in...to trust, to show up, and to press in to God and Spirit. Each day I have the chance to learn, to grow, to expand, and to be present with whatever is appearing in my field of awareness. Whether that be peace, contentment, pure love...sadness, sorrow, pain, or tension.

DIRECT PERSONAL EXPERIENCE
That which is meant to be felt and to move in and through me.

I am a slow learner. It takes me a while to "get it" and even more time to "apply it" and have "it" become real and a part of my inner blueprint. Sometimes I get stuck. I find life's experiences aren't moving through me but rather looping in me. In those times, I first become a little frustrated (truth be told) and then I become curious. I practice resting in awareness...in stillness...and reflect. At other times, I might reach out. Why? I too need encouragement along the way. And I need to hear those messages and teachings again, to serve as a reminder of what I know deep down inside to be TRUE. I also need connection, in order to feel part of humanity and not isolated or alone. To reach out and to connect is healthy and part of my own personal growth, accountability, evolution, and transformation. It is part of my practice.

I am so thankful for how Spirit moves and reveals. And I am grateful for the teachings that have been passed on through the ages...for TRUTH that sets me free...and for connection. What about you? Can you relate to any of this? Feel free to share. I do so enjoy hearing from you!
