The Easy Way...

When it comes to personal growth and development, I don't know about you, but for me, it's been a process, and anything but a walk down Easy Street.

East Street sounded easy, but in reality it wasn't. A short cut, another way around, a detour, to have played possum, or continue to deny what obviously was vying for my attention were indeed options. BUT, I wouldn't be where I am today...who I am today, had I chosen those alternate routes.

Some of my greatest aha moments and breakthroughs have come when I took that deep dive into what appeared to be a cesspool...only to find clear, cool and peaceful waters down below the muck. Other times it was like jumping out a plane which is difficult for one who, in general, is not a fan of heights or flying. Yet, to be effortlessly carried on the wings of love is freaking amazing. And to jump and take a leap of faith allowed me to literally fly to both Italy and India...trips that forever left their mark on my soul.

To jump, to dive, to head down a different road, to rewire, to unlearn, to establish a new way of being... was it easy?  Nope. Was it worth it? Absolutely!

Sure, I've made mistakes along the way. I've fallen and have been bruised here and there.  I've been pressed, crushed, shaken, perplexed, felt abandoned a few times, but never destroyed.

I chose to take the road less traveled. It was scary and still is, I won't lie. But that still small voice that has guided me for as long as I can remember gently prods me along whispering, "You've got this. Just keep going. I've got your back."

I'm so thankful I listened to that inner prompting. Today I feel stronger than ever before. I've learned to exercise my physical, emotional, and mental muscles and continue to do so, as I don't want to slip back into old ways...which IS easy to do when one is not paying attention.

If YOU have chosen to dive deep or take a leap and are in need of support, feel free to reach out.
